Railways extends frequency of Pune-Jabalpur weekly special

PUNE: In order to clear the extra rush of passengers during the summer season, the Indian Railways has decided to extend the frequency of the special train between Pune and Jabalpur. The booking of tickets will start from May 26. 

As per information provided by the Railways, train number 01655 Pune-Jabalpur weekly special will leave Pune at 7.45 am every Tuesday from June 18 to June 25 (2 trips) and will arrive in Jabalpur at 5.00 am the next day. Similarly, train number 01656 Jabalpur- Pune weekly special will leave Jabalpur at 7.45 am every Monday from June 17 to June 24 (2 trips) and will arrive in Pune at 4.05 am the next day.

The train will halt at Daund, Ahmednagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusawal, Khandwa, Chhanera, Khirkiya, Harda, Itarsi, Pipapriya, Gadarwara, Kareli, Narsinghpur, Shridham and Madan Mahal. 

The train has composition on one AC-2 tier, five AC-3 tier, 10 sleeper class and 2 general second class coaches.

“The reservation of extended special train number 01655 on special charges will open on May 26 at all PRS locations, Internet and on website www.irctc.co.in,” said Pune railway division acting spokesperson Sanjay Kumar.
