Pune: Modern Arts, Science and Commerce College, Shivajinagar has been awarded with autonomous status.
The autonomy has been granted for 10 years and will be implemented from the new academic year 2019-2020. The admissions to first year in the new academic session will be done under autonomy.
“The syllabus will change for first year students, besides new courses will be introduced. They will be certified under both Savitribai Phule Pune University and Modern Arts, Science and Commerce College,” said Gajanan Ekbote, chairman of Progressive Education Society (PES).
The college has secured A+ grade in National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for the third time in 2017.
