Pimpri: In a shocking incident, a 52-year-old woman has been duped to the tune of Rs 56 lakh, allegedly for not giving the possession of a flat in Pimpri Chinchwad based housing project.
The incident has taken place at Vijayanagar area in Kalewadi, Pimpri, between January 2018 and July 4, 2020. In this regard, gaining no response from the suspect, the woman approached the Wakad police station which falls under the jurisdiction of Pimpri Chinchwad police commissionerate, and registered the case on Sunday against three people.
The victim, Nishigandha Shashank Amolik (52), a resident of Vijayanagar, Kalewadi, lodged a complaint at the Wakad police station. Accordingly, the police have registered a case against Vasundhara Vasantrao Bhosale, Tejraj Dhengale, Daisy Narendra Bhosale - all the residents are of Kalewadi.
According to the Wakad police, "The complainant Nishigandha had taken a flat owned by Vasundhara Bhosale in Vijayanagar Kalewadi, in January 2018, through her brother Tejraj Dhengale. She had paid Rs 56 lakh for it. However, even after paying the money, the three suspects did not hand over the house to her. It further seems that Daisy, who is currently living in the house, demanded another Rs 25 lakh additional from her. Getting no positive response from them, she felt that she has been duped by this gang. As per the agreement, she was supposed to get the flat on December 5, last year. But they failed to give her. We are probing."
The Wakad police station, Assistant Inspector of Police, Tanaji Bhogam is investigating the case.
