Pune student gets first rank in CS Intermediate exam

PUNE: Kalyani Pundlik, a second year BCom student at Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce (BMCC), has secured All India First Rank in the Executive Programme (new syllabus) of the Company Secretary (CS) examination, also known as CS Intermediate examination.

The result of the Executive Programme (old and new syllabus) and Professional Programme (old and new syllabus) of CS examinations held in December 2019 has been released on Tuesday.

Priya G (Chennai) has also bagged first rank in the Old Syllabus examination of the Executive Programme.

In the Professional Programme, Harshit Jain (Indore) and Shruti Shah (Mumbai) secured the All India First Ranks in old syllabus and new syllabus examinations respectively.

“I had decided to appear for the examination since I was in class XI. Consistent preparation and not relying on last minute studying is the secret of my success. Since I have always been interested in law, my father also encouraged me to pursue CS. Now, I will be answering the Professional Programme examination in coming December,” Pundlik said while talking to Sakal Times.

A total of 13.54 per cent of the candidates passed in the Module I and 16.56 per cent in Module II of the old syllabus Executive Programme examination. In the new syllabus exam, 7.68 per cent passed in Module I, while 11.95 cleared Module II.

In the Professional Programme, in old syllabus examination, the pass percentage was 30.11 for Module I, 23.74 for Module II and 34.26 in Module III.
