Pune-Singapore direct flight from December 1 

Pune: Passengers from Pune who wish to travel to South East Asian countries, will not have to go to Mumbai from December onwards as Pune-Singapore direct flight will start soon. 

The Pune Airport Authority has announced a direct flight between Singapore and Pune from December 1, 2018, which will be operated by Jet Airways. 

According to officials of Pune Airport, the flight will take off at 0515 hours from Pune and land in Singapore at 1315 hours (local time). The flight will depart from Singapore at 2100 hours and arrive in Pune at 0015 hours. The flight duration will be 5 hours 35 minutes. 

In March, Sakal Times had published news from the sources of Customs that they had written a letter to Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to start a flight for South East Asia like Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok. 

“We are very happy that a flight has been initiated for Singapore. We are expecting that the flight will be full,” said Ajay Kumar, Director, Pune Airport.  The Pune Airport have just four flights for international destinations, including two to Dubai (Air India and SpiceJet), one to Abu Dhabi (Jet Airways) and one to Frankfurt (Lufthansa).
