Pune schools score in CBSE X exam

PUNE: While the girls have been outshining the boys quite a lot in almost all the school results declared across the country, in the class X results declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the boys seem to have caught up to them this time. While the difference between the pass percentage of boys and girls is merely 2.31, boys are also amongst the highest scorers in the country.

Just like their class XII results, the students and teachers were again taken by surprise by the Class X results declared by the CBSE on Monday. While the examination was held from February 15 to April 4, the results have been declared in a month’s time.

With a pass percentage of 91.10, the nation-wide result has improved by 4.40 per cent as compared to last year. A total of 13 students have scored the maximum marks, which is 499 out of 500. Out of the 16,04,428 students who passed the examination, 2,25,143 scored above 90 per cent, while 57,256 passed with marks above 95 per cent.

PUNE SCHOOLS ACE
With a large number of schools achieving 100 per cent results, Pune students passed the Board examination with flying colours. The toppers of most of the renowned schools have scored above 96 per cent marks, while a huge number of students have passed with distinction as well.

Principal of Delhi Public School (DPS) Neelam Chakrabarty said that she was extremely happy with the way the results have turned out, and was happy that the children put in all the efforts required to score well.

Speaking about the achievements of her students, Principal of Global Indian International School (GIIS) Chinchwad Dr Amrita Vohra said, “The school has secured 100 per cent result. Three students have scored a perfect score of 100/100 in Mathematics, Sanskrit and SST.”

“Students achieve the best results when teachers and parents work like equal partners towards the betterment of the children. We are proud that our students are all rounders,” said Director of Sanskriti School Devyani Mungali.

100 PC RESULT FOR PUNE SCHOOLS
- Out of the 543 that appeared for the board examination at DAV Public School this year, 113 students scored between 95 and 100 per cent, while 165 got marks in the range of 90 to 95 per cent.
- At Sanskriti School (Bhukum Campus), 55 per cent of the entire batch scored above 90 per cent aggregate and the average of the batch is 91 per cent. 
- 93 per cent of the students at Global Indian International School (GIIS) Chinchwad have passed with distinction. More than 48 per cent of the students has scored above 90 per cent.
- Two students at City Pride School, Nigdi Pradhikaran scored 100 marks in Science, while one student scored 100 in Mathematics. Out of 83, 53 students scored above 90 per cent.
