Pune Railway Division takes preventive measures

PUNE: The Pune Railway Division has taken measures to deal with the spread of coronavirus. Posters and banners giving information about coronavirus have been put up at all stations of the division.

According to Spokesperson of Pune Railway Division, Manoj Jhawar, “Central Railway has begun intensive monitoring of premises via CCTV for crowd control and has asked Railway Protection Force (RPF) to disperse passengers standing at one place for long. The RPF is also announcing the same through public address systems.”

He added, “The railway is explaining about prevention of coronavirus via the audio-video medium. Local trains and long-distance trains running from Pune stations are being cleaned using chemical process. The pantry cars are also being thoroughly washed using hot water. Railway staff, including pantry car staff, has been provided mask, gloves and sanitisers and they have been instructed to use them before providing service.”
