Pune: Pimpri-Chinchwad witnesses over 6,000 coronavirus patients 10 days of lockdown

Pimpri: The city of Pimpri-Chinchwad had imposed a ten-day strict coronavirus lockdown from midnight on Monday last week, and the term ended on Thursday. Despite the lockdown, in just ten days, the city has found 6,138 corona positive patients and 3,814 were discharged. In addition, 149 people have lost their lives.

Meanwhile, lockdown rules in the city have been relaxed from Friday and all shops supplying essential and essential items will be open from 9 am to 5 pm.

State Deputy Chief Minister and Pune District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar convened a meeting of local administration officials to curb the spread of corona and imposed a ten-day strict lockdown in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. The first five days in Pimpri-Chinchwad city-imposed lockdown in a rigorous manner as decided by the local administration.

The Police were on high alert, and they imposed a curfew. Roads, squares, premises were covered with barricades. The local citizens responded well. However, on the sixth day, the rules were relaxed, and the citizens started stepping out of their houses on the streets, which increased and created chaos.

As many as 6,138 infected patients have been found in just ten days.
