Pune: MSEDCL resolves around 200 complaints received via WhatsApp

This includes 58 complaints from Pune circle. The initiative taken by MSEDCL for power safety is being welcomed everywhere. The number has been made available in Pune along with Chinchwad city, Haveli taluka and Mulshi, Velhe, Maval, Khed, Junnar and Ambegaon talukas.

Pune: As per the request of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to send information, grievances and complaints about the power system and its various malfunction through WhatsApp, the power supply of 200 places in Pune Regional Division were resolved and repaired till Monday.

This includes 58 complaints from Pune circle. The initiative taken by MSEDCL for power safety is being welcomed everywhere. The number has been made available in Pune along with Chinchwad city, Haveli taluka and Mulshi, Velhe, Maval, Khed, Junnar and Ambegaon talukas.

So far, 88 places in the Pune region have received information that the electrical system was perilous. Repair work of 58 places was completed immediately by the concerned offices of MSEDCL.

In the remaining 30 places, approval or shifting of senior offices is required but due to space constraints, the process is still underway. "Citizens should respond and cooperate with the initiative to provide information on WhatsApp to reduce the dangers in the power distribution system," appealed the Pune Regional Director of MSEDCL, Ankush Nala who is supervising and monitoring such grievances.

WhatsApp's mobile number will not only accept information but also complaints with photos of the threat from the power distribution system. Citizens should not call this mobile number. Only the location of such a dangerous system spot should be given with full address or by providing such Google location.

It will also be resolved if citizens who do not have WhatsApp provide information along with their address via SMS. In addition, for such complaints, information can be given directly by contacting the toll-free number of MSEDCL.

Information or complaint along with photos of the dangerous system received on WhatsApp number 7875767123 from the Pune Circle is being sent to the concerned Divisional and Sub-Divisional Office immediately. 

Complainants are also being registered by sending photographs after the system has been repaired. The initiative has been welcomed by many customers, who are expressing satisfaction on WhatsApp that the repair work has been completed as per the complaints.
