Sachin Chandrakant Pendhare, a resident of Katraj - Kondhwa road had lodged a complaint with the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum in this regard. Pendhare had named Just Dial Limited and its Founder Director V S S Mani in the complaint.
A company representative contacted Pendhare and suggested that he register on the website to promote his business. Based on the information given by the executive, Pendhare agreed to take the services of the company. Accordingly, he decided to take an advertising plan for one year. Pendhare handed over a cheque of Rs 3,540 to the company representative as a three-month advance.
However, while handing over the cheque, Pendhare had informed the concerned representative that he would deposit the advance amount online in the account of 'Just Dial'. Accordingly, he paid the amount in March 2018.
However, the company deposited the cheque in the bank. Meanwhile, the cheque was not honoured as there was not enough money in Pendhare's account. A total of Rs 954 was deducted from the complainant's account due to three such incidents. Later, Pendhare filed a complaint with the forum in this regard.
