Pune Collector Naval Kishore Ram among the list of 50 popular district magistrates

We all know that District Collector is the one who is responsible for the functioning of the administration of the entire district smoothly. Pune district, too, has its own 'Superfine' District Magistrate: Naval Kishore Ram, who has now booked his place among the 50 popular collectors in the country.

The Fame India Magazine along with Asia Post Survey a few days back released a list of popular District Magistrate (DM) in different categories around the nation where the District Magistrate of Pune, Naval Kishore Ram has been named as 'Superfine Collector'.

This joint survey is carried out on several factors such as officer's planned governance, foresight, uniqueness, work responsibility, quickness, behaviour and other factors.

The position of District Collector was introduced by Warren Hastings, the first Governor of the Presidency of Fort William (Bengal) in 1772. The main functions of the Collector are to supervise general administration, to maintain law and order, generate revenue and it seems the Pune Collector is going a great job.

Talking to Sakal Times, Naval Kishore Ram said, "We are meant to serve for people 24x7, and it is good that work is getting observed. My work is to serve people and will continue to such work in future too."
