Pune: Coaching class teacher on the run after bodily violating girl student

Pune: In a shocking incident, a girl who had given her HSC Board examination, an aspirant to join Merchant Navy had plan to opt for a coaching classes run in Kausarbaug. She was sexually abused by the teacher under the pretext of giving free coaching at the institute.

Mohsin Shaikh (32), a resident of Kausarbaugh in Kondhwa Khurd is on the run. The incident came to light after the 18-year-old girl informed her mother about the incident and lodged a complaint with Kondhwa police station which falls under the jurisdiction of the Pune city police commissionerate.

According to the police officials, "Mohsin was a tutor at the Captain Manal's coaching classes in Kausarbaug.  The victim had given her class 12 board examination from science stream. She was waiting for her results. In October 2019, Mohsin had come to her college to give career guidance lecture in Merchant Navy and she had noted down his number for further guidance."

The police stated that the class was to commence from July 8, this year but the girl did not go to class because she could not afford the class fees and training.

The police added, "On July 4, Mohsin called her to meet her in Kasba Peth area as he is coming to leave his wife for some work. He claimed to give her concession in fee considering as she belonged from a poor family. Later he asked her her to come near Kumbarwada and later took her to a vacant flat and abused her sexually. He also threatened the girl not to tell this incident to anybody." The police is probing the matter further.
