Pune: Landline telephones and broadband internet services of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) have been interrupted for the past two days as the optic fiber is broken at the Pu. La. Deshpande garden on the Sinhagad road. As a result, many professionals working from home are facing problems as high-speed internet is not available.

Citizens in the area have reported this issue to the BSNL customer care number, but no action has been taken so far. Developmental work is going on in the Sinhagad road area. While digging up the road for this work, the fiber was broken two days ago. This resulted in landline and internet service interruption in Jaydevnagar, Rajaram bridge, Hingne, Anandnagar area.

Due to restrictions put by the government, BSNL centers are working at lesser capacities. However, citizens complained that there was no satisfactory answer given to them. BSNL officials stated, that they have instructed all contractors to inform BSNL about road digging work before starting the work, but the contractors did not inform them. As a result, customers have to bear the brunt of no coordination between Pune Municipal Corporation, their contractors and BSNL officials.
