PUNE: Under the Enhanced Access and Service Excellence (EASE) 2.0 Programme of the Government of India, Indian Banks Association (IBA) has decided to have the uniform working hours for all public sector banks.
From November 1, 2019, all public sector banks in the state will have uniform working hours for customers as per the locality stated a press statement by the Bank of Maharashtra.
The press statement further stated that all branches in residential areas will have uniform working hours from 9 am to 4 pm,
“Branches in commercial areas will be operational from 11 am to 6 pm. However, branches in other areas or office areas will be operational from 10 am to 5 pm,” the press statement further said.
According to the state-level and district level body of IBA, this decision has been taken to ensure uniform timings of banks.
