PUNE: Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited (PSCDCL) has decided to connect all Pune Municipal Corporation-run (PMC) hospitals through a Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) to provide online information to citizens.

PSCDCL CEO Rubal Agrawal said, “Smart City is going to develop HMIS to provide an online platform to all city-based hospitals. There is no online system available for PMC-run hospitals and is following the traditional system of maintaining records. The system will keep all information such as facilities, enrolling of patients, medicine availability among others.”

She said, “PMC  will get all information in one click and anyone can access this information through the system.”

PMC has two hospitals, Kamla Nehru Hospital and Dr Naidu Hospital, and 18 maternity homes and 41 dispensaries. The civic body has given three hospitals to a private entity to run.
