Protesting candidates’ revised results released

Pune: After a long fight and protest by the candidates, the revised results of 377 candidates of Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) examination were declared on Saturday.

For over a year, the candidates of the 2017 batch have been waiting for their appointments over a legal matter related to horizontal reservation of 17 women candidates. Due to this, the appointments of the 2018 batch candidates was also pending.

“In the revised result, the issue of the horizontal reservation has been resolved. Due to this, some of the Open Category women candidates have lost their posts. Also, the designations of some of the candidates have changed,” Mahesh Bade of MPSC Students Rights said.

The appointment dates of the 2018 batch candidates will be declared a day after the appointment dates of 2017 batch candidates are announced.
