Now, take a photo at airport’s selfie point

PUNE: The Pune Airport Authority has set up a selfie point inside the terminal building, attracting several passengers.

The design at the selfie point describes the history of Pune and Maharashtra.

“We have set up a selfie point inside the terminal building where passengers can click photos. This has been set up on the occasion of the 73rd Independence Day. Many passengers are clicking photos at the point. Earlier, we often created a temporary point for passengers to click photos. But now we have made it a permanent part of the airport,” said Pune Airport Director Ajay Kumar.

The facility is located near the entry for boarding gates number 5, 6, 7 and 8.

Photography is not allowed at Pune Airport as it is a defence airport. Still, there are many instances of people clicking pictures from the tarmac right in front of the aircraft, or inside the airport.

Such passengers can now click pictures at this selfie point. On regular days, there are close to 30,000 passengers at the airport.

PHOTO RULES
Photography is not allowed at Pune Airport, according to AAI rules, especially at the apron, runway and terminal building.
