Now, Prayagraj will connect with Pune via UDAN RCS

Pune: The Pune airport will now be connected to Prayagraj and there will be more flights to Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

Pune Airport Director Ajay Kumar said, “GoAir will connect to Hyderabad from February 5. AirAsia is to connect Bengaluru from February 15 and Indigo will connect with Prayagraj from March 5.”

“The new Pune to Hyderabad flight from February 5 is the sixth daily direct connection and first by GoAir on this route. AirAsia to Bengaluru and much-awaited Pune to Prayagraj from March 5 are all are in day slots,” Kumar said.

The Prayagraj flight has been connected under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS). In December 2018, Sakal Times had reported that the Ministry of Civil Aviation has allowed connecting Pune to Prayagraj under RCS. 

The GoAir flight will depart at 11.05 am from Hyderabad and arrive in Pune at 12.25 pm. The returning flight will depart from Pune at 1 pm and arrive in Hyderabad at 2.20 pm. AirAsia flight will depart from Bengaluru at 4.45 am and arrive in Pune at 6.10 am. It will depart from Pune at 6.40 am and arrive in Bengaluru at 8.15 am. Indigo flight will depart from Prayagraj at 9.20 am and arrive in Pune at 11.50 am. It will depart Pune at 12.20 pm and arrive in Prayagraj at 2.45 pm.

Aviation expert Dhairyashil Vandekar said, “The RCS flight between Pune and Prayagraj will be a boon for devotees and pilgrims in western Maharashtra, who travel to this important religious centre every year.”
