New eight-bed chemotherapy centre set up at CIMS
CIMS has been providing free chemotherapy to needy women suffering from cancers of breast, ovaries and cervix.
PUNE: A brand new, eight-bed, chemotherapy unit was inaugurated at the Care India Medical Society (CIMS) in Bhavani Peth, Pune on Friday. The unit is jointly sponsored by the Live Life Love Life Charity Foundation (LLLLCF) and BMC Software company.
A media release issued by the CIMS stated that this unit will increase its in-patient bed capacity to 23.
CIMS has been working in the field of cancer care management for the past 26 years in the city. They are pioneers in homecare for advanced-stage cancer patients, the projects run by the organisation have evolved keeping in mind the needs and requirements of the underprivileged and needy sections of the community suffering from cancer.
CIMS has been providing free chemotherapy to needy women suffering from cancers of breast, ovaries and cervix. Cases requiring surgery are benefited with the support from Command (Military) Hospital and Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) and adequate liaison is maintained to coordinate this effort. The new unit was inaugurated by Shashank Bhushan, Area Vice-President, HR, BMC Software and Praful Chandawarkar and Suraj Repe, Founders of LLLLCF.
