Pune: A seminar on 'Contemporary legal issues in commerce management, finance and economics' has been organised by the Department of Business Law and Accountancy of Ness Wadia College of Commerce at Neville Wadia Seminar Hall on March 1.
The theme of the seminar includes common law contracts, sales laws including negligence and products liability, international business transactions, the law relating to the environment, international business transactions, laws relating to the environment, intellectual property rights, jurisdiction, Constitution, accounting and taxation, crime and the relationship between law and ethics.
The objective of the seminar is to highlight and discuss various emerging legal issues in the field of commerce, trade, services, economics, banking, finance and business environment. To enlighten academicians about contemporary ideas, changes, problems and prospects governing the legalities of the business world.
The session is divided into two parts, first will be on contemporary issues in finance and economics by VS Kaveri, former professor and dean of National Institute of Bank Management (NIBM) and second will be on contemporary issues in commerce and management by TSN Sastry, Professor of Department of Law at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU).
IRS Rajesh Pandey, Additional Director General of Central Goods and Service Tax (CGST) of Pune Division will be the chief guest and Bhaskarrao Avhad, senior Advocate and former chairman of Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa will be present at the inaugural function at 10 am.
