Naturopathy Day To Be Celebrated On Nov 18

PUNE: The National Institute of Naturopathy (NIN), will celebrate Naturopathy Day on November 18 and this year’s theme is ‘Mahatma Gandhi and Nature Cure’. On the occasion, the institute will showcase various handicrafts and the doctors will provide free counselling to people. 

November 18 was declared as Naturopathy Day by Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. 
 
Speaking to Sakal Times, Dr K Satya Lakshmi, director of NIN, said that different exhibitions will be held on Naturopathy day. “This is the second year of Naturopathy Day celebrations. Activities like organic food expo, art of spinning, expo on khadi products, acupuncture implements and natural therapy accessories, along with free consultations, oral presentations by naturopathy students and competitions for school students will be held on the occasion,” said Dr Lakshmi. She further added that the live painting of Gandhi mural will be made by renowned artist Sankha Samantha as a part of ‘Prakruti Mela’.

“The National Institute of Naturopathy offers various fellowship programmes as well as skill development courses and interested candidates can check our website www.punenin.org for more details. Under our fellowship programmes, we give fellowships to the deserving candidates to try and highlight Gandhian way of living as well as the nature cure,” said Dr Lakshmi.
