Marijuana worth Rs36L seized

Officials from Pimpri-Chinchwad police Crime Branch on Wednesday arrested an engineering graduate and a pharmacy graduate and claimed to have seized 150 kilograms of marijuana worth Rs 36 lakh.

Pune: Officials from Pimpri-Chinchwad police Crime Branch on Wednesday arrested an engineering graduate and a pharmacy graduate and claimed to have seized 150 kilograms of marijuana worth Rs 36 lakh.
  
The arrested persons are Yogesh Dattatrey Jodh (28) and Sagar Digambar Kadam (28), both residents of Solapur. 

Acting on a tip-off, a team led by Senior Inspector Shriram Pol of Anti-Narcotics Cell of Pimpri Chinchwad police nabbed them on the Pune-Mumbai highway and seized five gunny bags containing marijuana. It is suspected that they had smuggled the narcotic substance from Andhra Pradesh.
