Man ends life by jumping in front of moving train 

Pune: In the wake of ongoing protests by Maratha community for reservation, one more person has ended his life by jumping in front of a moving train. 

A 34-year-old man committed suicide after jumping in front of the train on Friday at Pingori in Purandar. 

Police have recovered a suicide note from the spot with the demands for the reservation for Maratha community.

The deceased youth has been identified as Dattatray Shinde, a resident of Daundaj in Puranadar. 

Shinde’s body was found lying on the railway tracks near Pingori.

Sandip Patil, Superintendent of Police, Pune (Rural) Police, said,  “Shinde jumped in front of the moving  train at Pingori in Purandar and ended his life. We have recovered a suicide note from the pocket of his pants, which stated that in order to get the reservation for Maratha community, he planned to immerse himself in the water on August 5. We are conducting an investigation into the matter.”
