Pune: A 30-year-old man was bludgeoned to death while he was sleeping on a footpath in Vishrantwadi on Tuesday night. The police have made an arrest and have booked the culprit for murder.
The police have arrested the accused who has been identified as Kishan Rathod, 22, a resident of Wadarvasti in Vishrantwadi for murdering the deceased who has been identified as Ashok Bhagat of fish market locality in Vishrantwadi.
According to the Vishrantwadi police, the deceased was killed while he was sleeping on a footpath close to the fish market. The accused came there on a motorcycle and smashed the head of the victim with a cement block and fled. The body of the deceased which was lying in the pool of blood was observed by locals in the morning who reported the matter to the police.
