LokSabha 2019: ‘Cong doesn’t have Neta, Niti’

PUNE: Union Minister of Human Resource Development (HRD) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader Prakash Javadekar criticised the Congress Party on Tuesday.

He said, “The Congress is making false promises about giving Rs 72,000 per year to poor people as they will not come in power. The Congress doesn’t have neta (leader) and niti (policy). Therefore, they are using abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

Javadekar was in the city on Tuesday to give a momentum to the election campaign of BJP’s Pune Lok Sabha candidate Girish Bapat. He addressed a press conference at the party office. While referring to Rahul Gandhi’s promise of giving Rs 72,000 per year to poor people, Javadekar criticised the Congress that while they were in power for 50 years, they did not even pay Rs 12 to the poor.

Referring to Congress press conference held in Delhi, he further said, “Today’s Congress’ press conference reflects their exasperation, their desperation and as if they know certainly that they are not going to win this election and therefore, they are showing this nervousness.”

Referring to Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala’s press conference, he said, “In nervousness, they have decided to use ‘abusive’ language against the prime minister and BJP and also they have decided to falsify the facts.” He also said that the Congress nationalised the banks but despite the 45 years of nationalisation of the banks, 35 crore people did not have accounts. “It was Modi government which opened 35 crore banks accounts in 35 months.”

“The Congress is indulging in politics of deception and deceiving the voters by making false promises but today, people are thinking about who can make the country secure and who can lead the country to prosperity and who will deliver on the promises and the only name is Modiji,” he said. He said the  Congress is desperate and levelling bogus charges, using abusing language and making promising which never can be fulfilled.

Javadekar also said that Congress is levelling allegations about Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya. “However, the fact is Nirav Modi and Mallya thrived during the Congress regime and received unprecedented loans but we are bringing them back,” he said. He said that Rajiv Saxena is back, Nirav Modi is in jail in UK and the extradition of Mallya is being okayed by the court. “We are taking actions against all these fugitives and even seized their movable and immovable properties,” he said.

MUM ON IMPORTED CANDIDATES
Recently, Congress leader Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil’s son Sujay Vikhe Patil and Ranjitsinh Mohite Patil, son of senior NCP leader Ranjitsinh Mohite Patil, Patil joined the BJP. When asked about imported candidates from Congress and Nationalist Congress Party, Prakash Javadekar refused to comment.
