Lawyers’ association to approach revenue min

Pune: As the Department of Stamps and Registration is struggling to provide consistent service to people, the Pune District Conveyancing Lawyers Practitioners Association has decided to raise the issue with State Revenue Minister Chandrakant Patil.

Speaking on the issue, Advocate Amol Kajale-Patil of the association said that despite raising the issue several times there is no permanent solution to the problem. “We only have one option remaining that is to approach minister Chandrakant Patil so that the department gets serious and solves our problem. We will be writing to the minister and will explain to him the issue and will seek a solution from him,” added Amol Kajale-Patil.

After a slow down on Wednesday, by Thursday evening around 6,767 documents were registered by the department across the State including 6,090 conveyance deed and 1,823 leave and licenses registration.
