Judicial magistrate directs police to submit report

PUNE: After complaints from residents of Guru Nanak Nagar locality in Bhavani Peth, a judicial magistrate court has directed Pune city police to submit a report about alleged illegal centre for stray animals in a residential area.

Anil Kalra (65),  Neeta Parikh (62), Dr Bharat Parikh (69), Dr Ramesh Khade (45), Sanjay Khurana (50), Javed Khan (48), Catherine Peter (65) and Sonia Gulati (32), filed a private complaint against the accused persons last year. 

Order of Judicial Magistrate (First Class) AA Pathan states, “They have filed the documents that the complainant filed the various application before the various authorities.  And the copies of acknowledgement along with the complaint filed with Commissioner of Police. Photographs of the animals are also been filed. Before passing the order, this court deems fit that inquiry is needed about the alleged offence. Therefore, it will be proper to call the report under Section 202 of the CrPC from the police station.”
