PUNE: Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics has invited applications for the annual vacation students’ programme. The selected students will spend seven weeks at IUCAA from May 14 to June 29.
According to it, the selected students will work on specific research projects supervised by IUCAA academic members and will conclude with seminar presentations based on the projects done by the participants.
The students will be paid a consolidate stipend of Rs10,000 and will be provided free lodging at IUCAA campus. They will be also paid second class (non-A/C) return railway fare between the place of their residence or education and Pune.

MSc: First year (Physics/Applied Mathematics/Astronomy/Electronics)
Integrated MSc: Third and fourth year (Physics/Applied Mathematics/Astronomy/Electronics)
BTech/BE: Third and Final year (any branch)

Summer school on Astronomy and Astrophysics
The introductory summer school in Astronomy and Astrophysics (ISSAA) will be held from May 14 to June 15 which is designed to introduce students to the exciting fields of astronomy and astrophysics.
A batch of 35 students will be there for the summer school which will consist of lectures on fundamentals, recent developments etc. Besides that, the participants will undertake individual short-term reading projects under suitable guidance. Few motivated students might get an opportunity to spend an additional week at IUCAA after the school
Students eligible to apply:
Final year BSc (Physics/Applied Mathematics/Astronomy/Electronics) or
Second year of BTech/BE (Any branch)
Integrated MSc ( (Physics/Applied Mathematics/Astronomy/Electronics)
