Indian Rlys issues new timetable

Pune: The Indian Railways’ (IR) revised timetable for the year 2018-19 has come into effect from August 15. In the fresh timetable, available on www.indianrailways.gov.in, there have been many changes aimed at improving the efficiency of trains. According to the timetable, timings of several express/mail, local and passengers train running from Pune division also changed.

According to the information provided by the Pune Railway Division, “On Central Railway 14 mail/express trains have been speeded up by 3 hours 51 minutes with an average time of speeding up every train by 16 minutes. Three passengers/DEMU trains have been speeded up by 2 hours 10 minutes with an average time of speeding up every train by 43 minutes.”

Per the Railways, Nearly 2000 Rakes/year of inward traffic is received and handled on Pune division.Cement and steel are received at Pune, Khadki, Loni, Saswad.Fertilizers , food grains are received at Miraj, Sangli, Saswad and Satara. POL is received at Miraj and Bhilvadi.
