Implement 'My Family, My Responsibility' campaign effectively: Pune District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh

The purpose of this investigation is to educate every citizen about COVID-19 as well as to immediately identify the suspects and start their treatment, to reduce the death rate in the district.

Pune: 'My Family, My Responsibility' campaign undertaken to curb the spread of COVID-19 should be implemented effectively with the participation of people's representatives, NGOs and citizens, appeals Dr Rajesh Deshmukh.

The 'My Family, My Responsibility' campaign is being implemented across the state by the Collector reviewing the preparations for this campaign.

Dr Rajesh Deshmukh held a meeting at the District Collector's Office. Resident Deputy Collector Dr Jayshree Katare, District Surgeon Dr Ashok Nandapurkar, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Sandeep Kohinkar, District Health Officer Dr Bhagwan Pawar, Municipal Administration Officer Chandrakant Khose, Tehsildar Niwas Dhane and others were present.

The Pune District Collector Dr Deshmukh said, "The participation of all citizens and people's representatives is very important in this campaign. This initiative to be carried out in all the gram panchayats and the areas of the district as well as in the Municipal Corporations and cantonment in phases.

The purpose of this investigation is to educate every citizen about COVID-19 as well as to immediately identify the suspects and start their treatment, to reduce the death rate in the district.

"Citizens should keep a distance between individuals and families as the focal point for coronavirus prevention. It is also important to use a face mask and wash your hands frequently. Besides, care should be taken while dealing with shops, offices and necessary work in the society," said Dr Deshmukh.

He also directed the health department to provide timely treatment to the coronavirus patients and try to reduce the death rate in the district by following the 'treatment protocol' as per the guidelines of the health department.
