IMD Predicts Wet Diwali in many parts of Maharashtra and Goa

Pune: It might be a Rainy Diwali in a many parts of Maharashtra and neighboring Goa with the India Meteorological Department on Tuesday predicting rain, very strong in some cases,during the celebration of lights. 

Diwali will be celebrated across the nation on Sunday. 

An IMD authority said it is likely to be heavy to heavy rains most places over Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada and at isolasted places over Vidarbha for the following couple of days. 

IMD said heavy to very heavy rain was likely during this period in detached places in Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada. 

Thunderstorm accompainied with lightning likely over Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada alongside squally climate along Maharashtra-Goa coast, the authority educated. 

Speaking about the climate in Pune, the authority said thundery action joined by light to moderate rain may occur over the next two days. 

The days to pursue may have partly cloudy sky and light downpour, he said.
