PUNE: The city received 18.3 mm of rainfall (Lohegaon 13.2 mm) till 5.30 pm on Friday, after a dry spell that lasted an entire week, stated the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The weather department predicted light to moderate rainfall till July 28. Light rainfall is predicted in the city from July 29 to 31. Except for a few parts of Marathwada, good rainfall was reported across the State. Overall, 10 out of 11 districts in Vidarbha received normal to excessive rainfall. Only Akola district reported deficient rainfall, said the IMD.
However, Marathwada, Parbhani, Aurangabad, Osmanabad and Latur received scanty rainfall. Beed district reported no rainfall at all. Hingoli, Jalna and Nanded received good rainfall. As per IMD forecast, it will continue to rain in Maharashtra till July 30.
