Pune: Handloom products of Maharashtra and West Bengal saw a good sale at the handloom exhibition of 15 states organised near AISSMS College of Engineering. The sale is aimed at promoting handloom products, which will benefit
native weavers.

Speaking about the exhibition organised by Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, BH Zade incharge of the exhibition said the exhibition started on February 10 and each day the footfall ranges from 20,000 to 25,000.

“Puneites love the products especially sarees. There are about 77 stalls of handloom products from 15 states including Maharashtra, West Bengal, Bihar, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Telangana, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and other states. The overall sale till now has crossed Rs 7 crore,” added Zade.
