Group of disabled people condemn Sunjwan attack

Pune: A group of physically challenged persons on Saturday condemned the terrorist attack on the Sunjwan camp in Jammu, which took place last week.

The 36 Brigade camp of the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry was attacked by three suspected JeM militants, in which seven people, including six Army personnel and a civilian, were killed.

The terrorists were eliminated while arms and ammunition they were carrying was seized.

To condemn the attack, the group of disabled people gathered at Gokhale (Goodluck) Chowk. They were carrying placards and raised slogans such as ‘Shahid Jawan Amar Rahe’ and ‘Pakistan Murdabad, Dahshatwad Murdabad, Hafiz Saeed Murdabaad’.

“We condemn the terrorist attack that was orchestrated by Pakistan, in which our jawans died. It seems the attack has not moved citizens of our country. A wink of a teenage film actor becomes instantly viral on the social media. However, not many come forward to condemn the dastardly attack on the military camp,” said Rafik Khan, a member of the group.

“People don’t treat us like other normal people. We want to convey a message to people that we should support the Army jawans protecting our borders in such difficult conditions and give them and their families moral support instead of forwarding a video of some girl on the social media,” Khan added.
