Get Rs 10 Shiv Sena thali at Hadapsar and Rasta Peth

PUNE: Keeping the promise made during the election campaign, Shiv Sena corporator Pramod Bhangire has started serving ‘Shiv Sena thali’ in just Rs 10 at Kale Padal in Hadapsar from December 22.

The initiative was started with the motive to serve food to all and the stall remains open from 11 am to 4 pm for the people.

The thali consists of two chapatis, dal, rice, curry sabzi, papad and salad.

During the annual Dussehra rally this year, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had promised that if the party came to power he would provide thali at Rs 10.

“To fulfil Uddhav Thackeray’s pre-poll promise, I have started this initiative for the common people,” Bhangire said.

He said he is bearing the expenditure for the initiative. “We are not taking any fund from the State. I’m doing this as a social service,” Bhangire added.

Former MP from Shirur Lok Sabha, Adhalrao Patil who was present during the inaugural ceremony on Sunday said, “The Shiv Sena city unit will open more such thali stalls in other parts of Pune as well.”

On January 23, Shiv Sena Rasta Peth corporator Vishal Dhanawade also started Shiv Sena thali in Rs 10 at Rasta Peth.

Dhanawade said, “I started this thali initiative in January. However, after the call from our party president we will expand such stalls to other parts of the city as well. As of now, the Shiv Sena thali stall started by me is open from 1.30 pm to 3 pm.”
