GeoSpoc provides a map to make pandal hopping easier for Puneites this Ganeshotsav

PUNE: GeoSpoc, a Pune-based start-up, has come up with an interesting map to help people visiting Ganesh pandals during the festival.

The map highlights the 35 frequently visited Ganesh mandals in Pune, including the five ‘Manache Ganpati’. Moreover, it also highlights parking areas near these mandals. The map can be accessed through a QR Code or the link <https://arcg.is/1P51vD>

Speaking about the initiative, Gaurang Nanda of GeoSpoc said, “There are many Ganesh mandals in the city. People are often confused about their location and do not know which pandal they should visit. Thus, we have come up with a list of some of the most popular mandals in the city nobody should miss out on.”

He further added that while most of the mandals on the list are in peth areas, there are some from Kothrud, Camp and other areas as well. “As we all know, finding parking space is a major issue everybody faces while visiting various pandals. We have made this easier by locating the parking spots nearest to these popular mandals. We have also mentioned whether the parking is available for two-wheelers or four-wheelers or both and whether it is paid or free,” Nanda said.

While the facility of navigation is not available on the website, people can copy the longitude-latitude coordinates from the link and paste them on their GPS navigator.

GeoSpoc is a GIS-based start-up founded by Pune-based Dhruva Rajan, who is also the Technical Director of the company.
