Five rescued in fire mishap in Yerawada

Pune:  Five persons, who were stuck in a building during a fire incident, were rescued by officials of the Yerawada fire fighting department and Vishrantwadi police station on Saturday evening.

As per information shared by the fire fighting department, they were alerted by the locals about the fire incident when they saw flames erupting from the first floor of the building located near Yerawada mental corner on Alandi road.

Officials of Yerawada fire fighting department and Vishrantwadi police station rushed to the spot. The incident took place at around 7.45 pm. After reaching the spot, the fire fighting department started dousing the fire on the first floor where the office is located.

Five persons who were stuck on the second floor of the building were rescued by police and firefighters. Officials said that office of HDFC Bank located on the first floor was damaged in the fire incident.
