Efforts needed to control increasing population: Union Min for MSMEs

Pimpri: Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Giriraj Singh said here on Saturday that due to the policies of Central government over 70 lakh new jobs were created in the country. Singh added that as the opposition parties do not acknowledge the development of the country, they are encouraging caste politics in the country.

Singh was speaking after inaugurating the exhibition under vendors development programme, which was organised by Pune Engineering Cluster at Auto Cluster auditorium in Chinchwad. Singh said that the government is continuously working for boosting the industrial sector, and there are continuous efforts for bringing transparency through digitisation. Singh said that India is growing rapidly and hence the world is watching India. He further added that in the current budget, 59 per cent of total fund allocation on the industries has been given to micro, small and medium enterprises ministry. He said that the government is pushing the engineering cluster to make the initiative. There is a need for encouraging enterprises from reserved categories to set up their units in these clusters.

Singh also said that increasing population has become an obstacle to the development of this country. In our country, around 29 childbirths are taking place every minute. While in China, only 11 childbirths are being recorded. For the benefits of the developments to reach to the last person at ground root, there is a need for the efforts for controlling population.”
