EDII to hold boot camp for budding entrepreneurs

PUNE: Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) has organised a boot camp in Pune on February 21 for budding entrepreneurs as a part of its annual flagship event Empresario. The boot camp will be held at Symbiosis College, Pune. Empresario is an exclusive platform for start-ups, new age entrepreneurs, industry mentors, investors and the student community to connect.

The boot camps will focus on orienting prospective young student entrepreneurs with business model canvas, team building session, product showcase and pitching session. Selected students from this camp will get an exclusive opportunity to interact with industry mentors, VCs and angel investors. Overall, the boot camps aim to stimulate entrepreneurial attitude among students.

“Last year, we had conducted boot camps in 10 cities and saw a participation of around 473 students. Some of the ideas, however raw, were innovative and solutions oriented. At least four such ideas have also received funding and are receiving guidance at our business incubation centre, CrAdLE,” Dr Sunil Shukla, Director, EDII said.

EDII’s two-year PGDM in Business Entrepreneurship (PGDM-BE) offers a milestone-based learning initiative whereby every student can build their new enterprise step by step while studying at EDII itself.
