District planning dept will go completely online by April 2020

PUNE: The district planning department has set a deadline of April 1, 2020 to go completely online. As per information shared by the planning department, they have designed software systems for all planning work, which is connected with the Internet and, therefore, can be accessed anytime, anywhere.

Officials said that the department aims at going paperless and so all administration work will be through the software systems.

“We have developed a new Integrated Planning Office Automation System called the IPOAS system, which will help us to go digital completely. The training for the same is also being provided to our team. We have also kept a deadline to achieve 100 per cent online status by April 1 next year. The new system will bring in transparency, efficiency, easy access in our department. Work will be done just at one click. People can check their grant status, check in which department files are pending and other functionalities will be available online,” said an official from the district planning department.
