Dismissed officer caught taking bribe

PUNE: A dismissed law officer of Pune rural police and his accomplice were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Pune unit, allegedly accepting a bribe of  Rs 10 lakh to give a favourable report for an accused in Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) case. He claimed to be still in service and demanded the bribe from the accused’s accomplice. 

The arrested persons were identified as Chandrakant Devram Kamble, who has been dismissed as law officer, and his accomplice Shashikant Jaiprakash Rao (50) of Mundhwa. An FIR has been registered against Kamble and Rao with Bundgarden police station.
