The number of patients recovered from Covid-19 in Pune district has crossed one lakh mark

Pune: The number of patients recovered from Covid-19 in Pune district has crossed one lakh mark on Wednesday (August 19). So far, the highest number of recovered patients is 60,963 from Pune city. Meanwhile, 2,724 new Covid-19 patients were detected during the day on Wednesday. This includes 1,221 patients from Pune city.

Meanwhile, 90 patients died during the day on Wednesday. Pune has the highest number of patients with 853 in Pimpri Chinchwad, 495 in Zilla Parishad, 122 in Municipal Council areas and 43 in Cantonment Board area.

Among the 90 Covid-19 patients who died during the day were 35 from Pune city, 34 from Pimpri-Chinchwad, 14 from Zilla Parishad area, 6 from Municipal Council areas and one from Cantonment Board area. This number of new Covid-19 patients and patient deaths is from Tuesday (August 18) 9om to Wednesday (August 19) 9pm.

The total number of patients in Pune district till Wednesday evening is 1,32,293 while the total number of patients recovered from Covid-19 is 100712. The number of deaths reported till now is 3290. Of these deaths, 89 patients are residents of other districts than Pune. About 1,588 patients were discharged on Wednesday (August 19).

The total number of patients discharged so far Pune city is 60,963, from Pimpri-Chinchwad city is 26,890, from Zilla Parishad area 8,184, Municipal Council area 2,412 and from Cantonment Board area is 2,263.

Pune district also has the maximum number of active cases in a district as compared to other districts in the country. The recovery rate of Pune city has now reached 78.80 per cent and the active cases share is 18.81 per cent. The case doubling rate has gone down to 44 days and case fatality ratio is 2.39 per cent.

Total critical patients in Pune city as of now are 815 of which 483 are on ventilator support in Intensive Care Units of hospitals. About 7820 patients are getting treated under home isolation in the city.
