COVID-19 Pune: PCMC to construct COVID hospital to combat the outbreak

The construction of COVID-19 Hospital has been set up at Auto Cluster, Chinchwad on behalf of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.

Pune: The Central Government, State Government, Pune District Administration and Pune and Pimpri Municipal Corporation are taking various preventive measures during the COVID-19 crisis. Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of Pune District Ajit Pawar expressed with confidence that "Everyone will definitely win the battle against COVID-19 outbreak, as we all work together in the fight against the virus."

On behalf of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar inaugurated the COVID-19 Hospital at Autocluster, Chinchwad. The Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Devendra Fadnavis, MP Shrirang Barne, MLA Chandrakant Patil, Laxman Jagtap, Mahesh Landage, Sangram Thopte, Anna Bansode, Mayor of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Usha alias Mai Dhore, Deputy Mayor Tushar Hinge, Chairman of the Standing Committee Santosh Londhe, Dhake, Leader of Opposition Vitthal Kate, Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao, Chief Executive Officer of Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority Suhas Divase, Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar, Pimpri-Chinchwad Additional Commissioner of Police Ramnath Pokale, Deputy Commissioner of Police Sudhir Hiremath, Pimpri-Chinchwad Additional Commissioner Santosh Patil, Ajit Pawar, Pravin Tupe along with Councillors and senior officers of the concerned department., Doctors, staff were present.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said, "I congratulate Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation for setting up COVID Hospital at its own expense." Pimpri-Chinchwad is a city of laborers. Citizens of different castes and religions live in this city. Due to the large population, during the COVID-19 outbreak, citizens should be able to get treatment in less time, at lower cost, and there should be no shortage of beds anywhere. The administration is keeping a close eye on private hospitals that charge patients extra for treatment during the crisis. For this, teams are being formed in rural areas including the city and the payment is being audited. This is an attempt to provide relief to the citizens. India's first human test for corona vaccine has been conducted at Bharti Hospital with the help of Serum Institute. Research is underway to develop a vaccine to control the COVID-19, which is certainly a matter of hope.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar commended the citizens on the occasion of Ganeshotsav. He appealed to the citizens to celebrate this year's Ganeshotsav simply without crowding anywhere, keeping social distance, wearing regular masks. During the COVID-19 crisis, the police, doctors, administration, charitable organisations and their activists are doing a very good job at the risk of their lives. It will be a true tribute to the citizens who died in this battle if the country, the state, is liberated from the vius by winning the battle against it.

Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis said that he was satisfied with the construction of Covid-19 Hospital at Auto Cluster, Chinchwad on behalf of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. Citizens who do not have symptoms in the test should be given a home or institutional merger by increasing the number of COVID-19 tests. This will help control COVID-19. Fighting together with the help of civilians will prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Mayor Mai Dhore said that, "COVID-19 infected patients were found in Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation area in March. The health system has been working well since then. He informed about the facilities provided by the corporation."

Namdev Dhake introduced the program and thanked Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar.
