COVID-19 Pune: Over one lakh recoveries in city

Pune: Although the number of COVID-19 positive patients in the Pune city is on the rise, the rate of recovery is increasing too. Over one lakh people have been cured and been discharged in Pune. On Monday, the number of recoveries crossed 1,00,532.

1,100 patients were discharged from the various hospitals of Pune on Monday taking the total recoveries over 1,00,532. Meanwhile, 39 patients lost their lives on Monday taking the tally to 2,832.

The actual number of active patients now stands 17, 393. The number of critical patients surging in the city. Of the patients undergoing treatment, 928 are in critical condition. Of these, 479 patients are on ventilator support while 449 patients are undergoing treatment in ICU.  A total of 2,807 citizens have been examined at various centres during the day and so far 5.37 lakh patients have been examined.

Also, the situation at Jumbo Hospital in the city is slowly improving. With the availability of medical manpower, treatment has gained momentum.

The number of patients has also been increased. CCTVs have been installed all over the hospital to monitor patients. In addition, a dashboard has been created to keep abreast of patients, their treatment and current status.

According to the bed number on this dashboard, it is possible to see the information on the patient's heart rate, oxygen, ventilator at the same time.  The patients who are in critical condition are exposed to a red band. Therefore, it will be possible for doctors who come after shift change to check these patients first. Launched by the municipality, this dashboard is for doctors and officials.
