COVID-19 Pune: MP Raju Shetty discharged from hospital

MP Shetty was admitted in a private hospital in city last week for the COVID-19 treatment.

Pune: Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana leader and former Member of Parliament (MP) Raju Shetty has defeated the coronavirus and has been discharged from Pune based private hospital on Wednesday.

Raju Shetty toured Maharashtra state last month to understand the grassroots level sufferings and farmers issues. During his tour he was transmitted and tested positive for COVID-19. He was isolated at home when he was diagnosed with the virus in early September.

Initially, he took treatment at home. However, he was admitted to a private hospital in Jaisingpur last Wednesday due to a slight infection in his blood. However, as a precaution, he was shifted to a private hospital in Pune on September 10 for further medical treatment.

He was rushed to Pune via a cardiac ambulance. Initially, when he tested positive, he informed on social media. He had also posted a video on Facebook in this regard.

Raju Shetty will be home quarantined after receiving discharge on Wednesday. Shetty's wife and son Saurabh also tested positive for corona.
