Pune: According to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 399 new cases were reported in the city taking the total positive cases to 5,181, while ten people died on Monday taking the total death toll to 264. Pune district on Monday reported 459 new cases, the highest in one day so far. While, 175 patients were discharged after recovery on Monday, taking the tally to 2,735 so far.
In Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) limits, there are a total of 382 positive patients, and so far while 14 patients have died due to COVID-19. A total of 182 patients were discharged till Monday in PCMC limits.
Divisional Commissioner Dr Deepak Mhaisekar said that total cases reported in Pune division are now 7,218.
“In Pune division, 341 deaths have been reported, and 210 are critical till Monday. Pune district has 5,899 cases, and so far, 278 people have died due to COVID-19 in the district. Satara so far has reported 309 cases and seven deaths. Solapur has reported 590 cases and 52 deaths. Sangli has reported 79 cases and two deaths. Kolhapur has reported 341 cases and two deaths so far,” said Mhaisekar.
A total of 3,442 patients have been discharged from the Pune division so far after recovering from COVID-19.
As per the guidance from Government of India, cluster containment action plan is being implemented in places where clusters of patients have been found in the State, said state health department on Monday.
As per the State health department, there are 2,391 active containment zones in the State currently. Total 16,106 surveillance squads worked on Sunday across the State and surveillance of 66.01 lakh population was done.
Currently, 5,30,247 people are in-home quarantine, and 35,479 people are in institutional quarantine, said State health officials.
1,186 PATIENTS DISCHARGED IN MAHARASHTRA
1,186 patients were discharged on Monday in Maharashtra. A total of 15,786 COVID-19 patients were discharged after full recovery until Monday. 2,436 new cases were reported in the State on Monday. The state tally is now 52,667. Meanwhile, 60 deaths among COVID-19 patients were reported in the State taking death tally to 1,695.
