COVID-19: PCMC Commissioner’s security guard tests positive

Pimpri: After the security guard of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Chief tested positive for the coronavirus, the PCMC Commissioner Shravan Hardikar had gone under home quarantine. On the positive front, the reports of the Commissioner are negative.

Pimpri-Chinchwad is witnessing a continuous rise in the spread of COVID-19 cases. The number of patients in the city has crossed the mark of 3,000. The virus has also entered the PCMC building with 30 employees from the health, doctors, tax, security guards, engineers and revenue departments of the PCMC as well senior political leaders are infected.

The father of a security guard working in front of his bungalow was transmitted with corona. Reports from families, including security guards came positive on Sunday who works at Commissioner’s Hardikar house. Thus, Hardikar has been home quarantine since Monday.

Speaking to Sakal Times Commissioner Hardikar admitted the fact of being home quarantined and expressed, "I am under home quarantine but I am working from home. On Tuesday afternoon, the experts came to my house and collected my swab samples for examination and on Tuesday late evening my report turned negative. I can resume back to office and work as per advice by an expert.”

Meanwhile, Bhosari MLA Mahesh Landage found to be positive for the contagion.
