Pune: While many of us are not frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, we all know someone who is our essential workers are putting their health at risk every day to ensure that the rest of us remain safe and healthy. To thank each one of these frontline workers for their dedication and perseverance during these difficult times, Viman Nagar Women's Club (VNMC) pledged to contribute ration kit, vegetables, cloth masks, water bottles, juices, sanitary napkins and so on.

So far, they have distributed these essentials to watchmen and housekeeping staff of 48 societies. And they have provided sanitary pads to PMC workers and sanitation workers in the housing societies from the area. Plus, every day, they have provided the cops posted in Viman Nagar with water bottles and vitamin C juices.

The lockdown period is a good time to reconnect with our family members and also with our hobbies and talents, which was often forgotten in the daily busy schedule that we had. This lockdown, VNWC had some amazing ladies who helped them connect better and helped boost their morale.

Some conducted free programmes and games via Facebook on VNWC page while others kept them entertained and made them rediscover their talents. A few others taught kids about many wonderful things like painting, cooking, money management etc.

VNWC thanks all these beautiful people for getting people closer as a community and lifting their spirits in such desolate times.
