Pune: Police have come out with guidelines for people who are stranded due to lockdown and want to go back to their homes in other districts of Maharashtra or other states. However, people living in the ‘containment zone’ will not get permission for travel.
The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) will declare containment zone in their jurisdiction wherever COVID19 patients are found.
According to police officials, people have to fill the necessary details on this website https://covid19.mhpolice.in/
When you visit this website, you will be asked whether you want to travel within Maharashtra or outside the state, select the option as per your need.
You will be also asked whether there are 0-4 co-passengers or more than that. If more than five people want to travel and then a group leader has to upload the documents including a list of people and their phone numbers.
If the person is not able to upload the documents, he/she can visit the local police station with the details of people.
While filling the online form, you are required to upload your clear photo (file size up to 200 kb) and registered medical practitioner's certificate of not having COVID19 symptoms and Aadhaar card and more (file size up to 500 kb).
However, Maharashtra government has clarified that for better implementation of intrastate movement of persons between districts in Maharashtra, there will be no movement into and out of the containment zones as decided by the District Collectors or the Municipal Commissioners.
After the forms are submitted Zonal DCP/Co-ordinator will send them to Pune district collector office who will inform the appropriate Nodal Authority of the receiving district and the movement will start after acceptance letter of the receiving Nodal Authority is issued.
Police will intimate the group leader and travel pass will be issued.
