Newly re-elected MP Shrirang Barne said that completion of ongoing projects and finding solutions to problems will be his top priority in his second term as Maval’s MP.

Pimpri: Newly re-elected MP Shrirang Barne said that completion of ongoing projects and finding solutions to problems will be his top priority in his second term as Maval’s MP.

Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Barne said he will pay attention to the issues of Pavana and Indrayani rivers improvement schemes, adequate water supply and expedition of Railways and Metro projects.

He said he will work for introducing a voluntary retirement scheme for workers of Pimpri-based Hindustan Antibiotics Limited.

He said solving water supply situation in Pimpri Chinchwad, Karjat, Khalapur and Maval will be one of his top priorities. “It is the duty of all to keep our rivers clean,” he said. 

Maximum number of people belonging to the economically weaker sections of society will be provided housing under the Prime Minister’s Awas Yojana, he said.

Shiv Sena’s Pimpri MLA Gautam Chabukswar, party’s District President Gajanan Chinchwade and City President Yogesh Babar were present at the press conference. 

Barne thanked Shiv Sena leaders Uddhav Thackeray and Aditya Thackeray for nominating him for the second term in the Maval Lok Sabha seat. The voters reposed their faith in him and elected him with a huge margin, he said.
